The Compatt/X™ Unity+™ is a multipurpose unity gain voltage amplifier. It's unlike any buffer we've designed before, and includes a brand new studio grade op-amp, 15 user selectable filters, and high headroom. Use one or more as an input buffer, an output line-driver and / or as a balanced long-line transmitter. It can also be used to buffer an amp's effects loop.
Use the Unity+™ as an input buffer by plugging your guitar directly into it. This will safeguard, strengthen and prepare your guitar’s signal for whatever follows in the signal path.
Internally select one of the 15 different filters to get either the plugged-in direct to your amp tone, or the one that matches the loaded down (by your existing pedalboard) tone, or choose something in between. Whichever filter you decide on, rest assured that the Unity+ will NOT load down your guitar's pickups or signal.
Use the Unity+ as an output line-driver after the last pedal on your pedalboard to drive the long cable run to a back-line amp. It can drive low input impedance loads and has superb capacitance drive capabilities which means long lengths of cable or daisy-chained passive splitters such as the Compatt/X™ IsoPlus™ should never be an issue.
For extra long (up to 330ft. / 100m) cable runs with greater noise immunity, pair the Compatt/X Unity+ with a Compatt/X IsoPlus and use a balanced 1/4" TRS cable to connect them.

- Housed in a compact; 3.72 x 1.55 x 1.29in. (94.5 x 39.4 x 32.8mm) and rugged #1590A style die-cast aluminum enclosure.
- Powered by 9VDC via a 2.1mm x 5.5mm barrel plug with a negative centre pin (like Boss pedals) with a current draw of 100mA or less (adapter not incl.).
Compatt/X [kom·patta & kom·patto] are the Italian, feminine/masculine noun translations for 'compact'.
