Designed and hand-built (by Mario) in Canada.
The Face First™ is a Class-A buffered reorder-able loop switcher, specifically designed to interface vintage and impedance sensitive fuzz pedals with your pedalboard.
Reordering the loop after the Class-A input buffer, allows the Face First™ to also switch a non-fuzz pedal in and out of the signal path, or to be used as a buffered master/tuner mute or pedalboard bypass.
The "Remote" version is in a low profile enclosure and can be controlled via a ¼" TS function switching jack, found on most MIDI controllers, or a remote foot-switch.
The discrete Class-A buffer has an input impedance and other finely tuned characteristics which mimic that of tube amplifier inputs. It'll safeguard, strengthen, and prepare your guitar and fuzz signal for whatever follows on the pedalboard and the rig.
The buffer presents the guitar and fuzz with a dynamic and ideal load that remains steadfast — resulting in consistent tone while still allowing the guitar and fuzz to breathe and feel, as if they're plugged directly into the front of a beloved tube amplifier.
For the benefits of buffers, see our FAQ page.
